Fascinating museum telling the story of Mining in the area - specifically from Denniston Mine high up in the hills. The museum holds many artefacts from the Mine and Railway incline. Well worth the very modest entry fee after a visit to the Denniston site...More

An interesting museum that covers not only recovery of coal but also a social history of the families and the challenges they faced.

We spent about 2hrs here enjoying the films, displays and the machinery. Particularly loved the 50c machine that worked the dredger engine. Really great small museum with lovely staff too.
