Great skiing area in Queenstown area and now I can also tick off skiing in the southern hemisphere from the bucket list :) The place can be recommended. Good conditions and good rental equipment. Would visit again.

Of course in March, there is no snow, and most of the facilities are being renovated ready for the skiing season, but well worth the trip up the mountain, which is very close to Queenstown central.

Grab a car and take the drive to Coronet Peak. The view is amazing, right across Queenstown and the Remarkables which are opposite. It is an easy summer drive and no dirt road.

Drove up to the chalet area although it was being repaired/constructed and took in some magnificient views. Added bonus of several parasailers taking off right in front of us, spectacular!

Yes through Skiwiland. Check out the website Coronet peak co.nz and you will see the 'My first ski school' programme they run. They have their own slope and magic carpet. Prefect for under 5's
