A beautiful sandy beach with people parking on the beach. Plenty of space. If in a hired camper van, as we were, use the car park just short of the beach as the van would probably get stuck and you would not be covered by...More

This is only 5 minutes out of town and it has a history that speaks for itself. It is the beach here Burt Monroe tested his Indian motorcycle on his way to being the fastest Indian in the world and holding world speed records

I never see and touch soft sand before in New Zealand like in Oreti beach.. My kids love to collect small shell, while we were having our sandwiches enjoying the shore..

You can park up and walk to your hearts content, stunning views to Stewart Island and riverton, I’m a regular visitor and had a swim 31 October 2017, have never swam so early in the summer 26deg that day We love southland
