What a surprise we had when we went inside, the buildings were lovely,so peaceful. The place is small, but their is a tea room and a little shop. We were told to go and visit it. It is by the train station, parking was ok....More

I enjoyed the garden but it was nothing different from other Chinese gardens that are around the world. The entrance fee was overpriced. You can get some food from the tea house as well.

Found the most interesting thing about the site was reading and learning about the Chinese settlers in New Zealand. I though the exhibit part was well laid out. The garden part, didn't really do much for me, and consequently I thought this was quite pricey...More

The gardens connect to each other, there’s a tea house, a tiny souvenir shop, hidden soft toys throughout the garden and a few finches flying about. This activity does not take more than 30 min max. Overall: underwhelmed. Entry $8pp. Free parking onsite.

These gardens are small but beautifully set out. With road traffic on 3 sides it is a quite andtranquil place to meditate

We visited in the morning and it is amazing how the sounds of the town disappear as soon as you enter the gardens. It was March when we visited and the flowers in the garden were not at their best, but despite this it was...More

spent about an hour wandering through looking at all the hidden gems if you look closely enough. was somewhat surprised that the pond had no fish in it, would be stunning in spring.

We visited mid afternoon not expecting anything out of the ordinary especially as in the middle of the city by a busy road but we were wrong, this is an amazing place - just walking around the gardens you can feel yourself become more relaxed...More

Serene, well constructed and a great place to walk around. As a frequent visitor to China, it was a surprise to find these high quality gardens in Dunedin. Probably much nicer on a sunny day, I would happily visit them again on my next trip.

My teenage son loved this - easy walk around the garden with lots of spots to stop and soak up some sun. There was an activity sheet for kids to do. All ages would enjoy coming here. In hindsight I should have spent more time...More

I would say Yes. You can get to most of it without going up more than a couple of steps and there are many places to sit and enjoy the garden.
