Trii was very helpful and caring. She brought hot water and some snacks for us just in case we get stuck on the road! The scenery at Catlins is unbeatable. Trii told us a lot of information around the area. We enjoyed the tour a...More

We sought a guided tour to some of New Zealand's wilder areas following a conference in Dunedin and found just what we hoped in a day-long tour of the Catlins by Back to Nature Tours. Three of us were picked up at our hotel, and...More

We visited the Otago Peninsula with Matteo and the day was very enjoyable and memorable. As well as passing the beautiful beaches and landscapes of the Penisula, we were taken through wetlands and passed bush where we saw herons, oyster catchers, and even a NZ...More

This railway featured spectacular scenery of which we got many great photos, both from within our carriage and from standing outside between cars. Just astonishing. Enjoyed learning about the area and its history/scenery from our well-informed and friendly conductor, and altogether had a great time!

The train is vintage and fun (although most of the restrooms were not in operation!). The journey is beautiful with lots of photo ops along the way. The turn around point provided a leg stretch and the locals turned out with plenty hand made items...More

Hi Vtowngirl. Thanks for the feedback. Sorry about the van playing up after collecting you from the station. I was one of the three fiddlers so that couldn't fix the problem. In these situations are main priority is to make sure you get back to...More

We did this shore excursion. We were picked up and dropped off in a timely manner at the cruise ship terminal. This tour has a nice mix of city sights and nature. Seeing Albatross was a highlight. Unfortunately, we did not see many yellow-eyed penguins,...More

Hi Cairnmom, Thanks for the feedback. You know its always a challenge taking people out to see wildlife, especially when conditions are against you. Its kind of like taking your child out fishing and they don't catch a fish, they feel a wee bit disappointed....More
