Great memorial to the soldiers that gave their lives defending the freedoms and liberties of New Zealanders whilst also serving a practical usage as a pedestrian foot bridge to cross the river.

No cars are allowed on the bridge and seems unaffected by the earthquake. On the map it is in the wrong place place.

In the city center, it is a small pedestrian bridge to the main shopping district. It commemorates the people who fought in the wars.

Easy to come across if you're walking around Christchurch, or taking the tram trip. All memorials serve a purpose; in this case remembering the sacrifices made by Kiwis in various wars. The Bridge of Remembrance does this, but it is not really special.

My husband and I enjoyed our walk around the bridge and the memorial, it was so touching to see all the flowers and comments that were there during Anzac day. The entire bridge and park are very peaceful.

Passed by the bridge a couple of times walking through the small down town area of Christchurch. Worth a quick look; it was a nice setting and a reminder of the sacrifices made by the Kiwis in the various wars - but nothing really special
