Visited on Tuesday 22nd May. We got to see the Clock Tower as we were going into Christchurch on the bus and again on the return journey. Good to see it survived the earthquake.

Read the plaque to discover the unusual history of this clocktower. The drinking fountain supplied by an underground aquifer has not been restored.

Nice landmark worth a stop if passing by to take a photo or two, but I wouldn't make a special trip or go out of my way for it.

Good to see (particularly at night) if you're passing by - but not worth making a journey to search it out.

I spotted this tower on the way to the famous mural. I liked the design. If you have a plan to go to Hagley park then maybe quick stop would be a good idea.

The Victoria Street Clock Tower is a great relic of a bygone age standing proudly on its own in a sort of square precinct. It is well worth the effort of finding if you are nearby.

not a special trip but while walking around or on a tour take a look, or if on a walking tour stop to look, but not worth a special trip just to see the clock.

The clock tower was not working, nor was the similar one at Sumner Esplanade but look for street art around all the sites affected by the earthquake, huge faces on walls, street scenes, metal artforms, the styles of new buildings. There is some great art out...More

This is a British style clock tower, quite close to the casino but not easy to access if you're staying at city center. Not worth to walk there.
