As I'm not a beach person , I rather walked along the promenade. Even though it was windy and not too warm, there were still a few hard-boiled guys in the water.

we visited Plimmerton Beach a couple of times on a recent trip to New Zealand. when the tide is out there is plenty of sand/beach to run around on but I believe at high tide the water comes up pretty close to the sea wall....More

Gorgeous beach for a walk in this lovely out to town bay. No matter what weather there is always something to enjoy. Great cafe , public toilets and cute shopping nearby.

Visited my brother & his wife in Plimmerton. We went for a walk down to Plimmerton Beach, it was absolutely stunning. Lots of people were walking along the beachside that day.
