This building is so beautiful and steeped in political history which makes it such an excellent place to visit. Public lectures are held here from time to time.

This is a classic building which had been used as Government buildings. I was very impressed when I heard that the buildings were made out of wood.

These old buildings can be seen while visiting Parliament and few photos can be taken here while strolling this area.

Hard to believe when you see this building it is not made out of stone, but is actually built of wood.

One of a kind - a living monument to the beauties of Kauri wood. Well worth exploring and feeling the history come alive.

The wooden buildings and the free visit is really low key as the building is shared with the university law department.

A little tired and worse for wear inside after the earthquake, however, when viewed from the exterior elevation it offers an outstanding example of neo Palazzo Italiano Renaissance architecturiture.

The Old Government Buildings, along with the Parliament Buildings, are a dominant presence at Lambton Quay. Now the law school of Victoria University of Wellington, the historic structure definitely deserves a couple photos.
