Comfy seats (which are a must with my bad back), good area to sit while you wait, great service and amazing screen/sound. Also a really handy location for those on foot or public transport.

Great visit on a Sunday night. Enjoyed a movie in one of the smaller theatres on the ground floor. Comfy chairs. Lovely bar/waiting area. A bit of a wait on the hot food, otherwise I would definitely return.

A grand location to watch an epic movie - The Avengers Infinity War. It was a family outing for my brother's birthday. We loaded up on snacks, [over priced, of course]. I had a large bucket of popcorn, which lasted me most of the movie....More

Wow, what a cinema. I've been to a lot of smaller Arthouse cinemas and the like, but this one wins hands down for styling and comfort. Even the men's toilet was swish. Starts when you enter with an extremely interesting hallway tunnel thing to the...More

If you watch a movie, it must be on “The Grand” room, which is basically a theater with a big screen on it. It has even a stage. Anyway, it’s worth a visit

This is an old style cinema that has survived into the 21st century. We didn't get to see a movie in the original cinema but in one of the intimate spaces they've added into the structure. i loved the tunnel you walk through to get...More

They don't make movie theaters like this anymore. The ambience is great and the place is very clean. Of course this is where Middle-Earth made its debut in cinema, in the Grand theater. The audio and visual experience is also up to par.

This is probably the most beautiful movie theatre I've ever been to. The huge staircases, mirrors and the old architecture is gorgeous. The bathrooms are unbelievable - go in and be dazzled. The movie theatre itself offers comfortable seats with lots of leg room. There...More

I've just seen Blade Runner 2049 in this theatre and so pleased I did. The quality of picture and sound projection is the best I have experienced in a picture theatre in NZ. The soundscape became a part of my enjoyment of this film, its...More
