This monument is right next to Beehive. This is a big and beautiful monument. This is a monumnet to commemorate those who served the world wars.

We were walking in the area and just came across this Cenotaph. Not sure about selecting this as the location for something that is so significant and important. Seemed a bit out of place, but it was still worthwhile to stop for a bit of...More

Location in 1932 would have been perfect. Un maned locked up not cleaned or maintained disappointing for an ex soldier.

Central location near parliament buildings. Appropriate memorial to acknowledge the sacrifices made by many New Zealanders in both world wars.

There are many memorials through out New Zealand to remember those that passed in the wars and this is outstanding. The ANZACs were hard done by during the wars and what they did should never be forgotten.

Worth a visit if near the parliament building. Take a couple of photos over 5 minutes break from the walk. Part of the walk down from the cable car.
