Enjoyed this museum as well as the observation deck and outdoor garden. Gives wonderful and educational information about Maori history, as well as many other aspects of NZ culture. Has play spaces for kids. And nice gift shop.

Great building with excellent permanent collections and travelling exhibitions. Don’t miss the story of NZ’s war and especially the horror of Gallipoli - the curation is fantastic. The usual high quality toilets, cafes and shops help make this a place to linger.

Good museum with lots of interesting exhibits but for me let down a little by poor signage. The exhibit for Gallipoli was excellent.

we got in for free, the museum shows a lot of history from new zealand, sometimes also have special exebitions like the chinese terracotta wooriors in 02/2019, you can compare the museum like the memorial museum in Auckland
