Located just in front of our hotel so we had to take a look. Not expecting anything special so I was pleasantly surprised by the collection and history of Wellington .

We had a quick tour of the museum. It was nice especially the part where they show us the video about the legend of Wellington.

Learned many interesting things in interactive, well set out displays. There is nothing boring about this museum and it would appeal to all ages. Look for King Dick and the amazing facts on the dangers of Cook Straight for sailing ships.

Best museum about the history of Wellington. Friendly personal service and a great gift shop if you are travelling and need something unique from your trip.

I was engrossed for hours and realised I was hungry! Loved the chronicle of the 20th century and the ‘time machine’. So well done!

I took my nine year old and both of us enjoyed this. Small but packed with interesting artefacts, beautifully displayed to tell a story.
