What tremendous fun we had earlier thus evening on this boat trip, out onto Lake Taupo and to see the Zmaori stone carvings. The skipper and his crew gave us a wonderful time, telling us about the volcanic eruption and the creation of the make...More

Jane and the rest of the booking team are a delight. Sadly the little small minded rude and ignorant captain on the 14 April 2015 needs to get an education. He advised that he was not responsible for anyone on board. Wrong. Under NZ law...More

Taking the slow boat to the Maori carvings was relaxing on a beautiful day like we had today. Be aware-there is no marine life as such so you just need to just kick back and enjoy the trip itself.

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our morning cruise on the lake, and the Maori Rock Carvings are particularly nice to see. Staff were excellent, as was the hot chocolate on board!

We took the Sunday morning cruise at 10:30 and had a very enjoyable two hours around the lake. It included the Maori Rock carvings and some interesting information about the lake and how it came into being. Well worth the price paid and the time.

This was the first day of our trip that was a bit cold and it was somehow suitable to rug up and enjoy the trip on the steamer. (To be fair, it wasn't that cold, just cool enough to add to the atmosphere.) The staff...More

Yes it does, and you can help yourself to free hot drinks and biscuits. Very safe when travelling with young children.
