Often overlooked, this park was dedicated to New Zealand soldiers killed abroad. A simple cenotaph has stood here for many years, but recent years have seen other installations, including a small garden memorial to Ieper (Ypres), and the newest one being the wonderful War Horse....More

Memorial Park is a very special place, especially on ANZAC Day (25 April) when thousands gather to remember those who gave their lives in past wars. The Dawn Parade is very moving and special.

Lovely gardens, the ANZAC Service is held here every year on ANZAC Day 25th April at 6am for the early birds. Well looked after, great place to go for a walk, close to town for a great coffee after the walk!

Memorial Park is a really lovely park, situated right on the river. There's free parking on the road outside, and easily accessible paths throughout.

Free parking right outside on Memorial Dr. and wheelchair accessible paths. You'll see an aircraft on display and memorials to the war dead. Around ANZAC day the place is adorned with poppies and crosses and wreaths etc. There is also access down to the river....More
