Have visited this theatre a number of times over the years. Took the children to see Aladdin today. You could be excused for thinking for thinking the theatre was build specifically for this show with its fantastic Moorish/Middle Eastern surrounds. What a treasure! The only...More

Located in Queen Street, the Civic Theatre hosts broadway musicals once in a while. Be sure to go when that happens. It is a beautiful heritage building near plenty of restaurants.

We were fortunate to see the broadway hit musical Aladdin last week. The Civic theatre is so beautiful and the show was spectacular! The costumes, sets and special effects were mind blowing. We were so glad we got to experience this.

We went to see Aladdin. It was amazing! The theatre itself is a charming, whimsical beauty, so worthy of such exceptional shows like this one. I agonised over choosing seats. In the end I got 50/49/48 row K stalls. I was worried about being on...More

We came to watch Aladdin because my husband hasn’t seen it before. The venue was lovely but there are no cup holders at the seats which was a bit disappointing. The only thing I would say is that the staff that work there need to...More

This theatre reminds me a lot of the Regent theatre in Melbourne. Beautiful heritage ornate ceilings and amazing acoustics. Comfortable seating with easy views we were in 3rd Row from front. I love coming here.

Great building - one of Auckland’s treasures. Keep an eye out for one of their occasional guided tours; facinating. Otherwise go and see a show - we saw Aladdin tonight and it was great. So much more than just another theatre!

Sam we head good seats located in front of the stage about 15 rows back. We had a not of children in front of us who appear to have enjoyed the show.
