This cinema has so much charm and we got to watch a film for just $5. There is a great atmosphere here and they sell delicious popcorn. They also have free drinking water and glasses which I think is great.

Arthouse cinema hidden away under Auckland Library probably has the best chocolate tops in Auckland. Programming is always interesting and intriguing and often controversial. Undeniably a hidden gem.

I saw 3 films at Academy Cinema over 3 days. I saw 'Marshland' an excellent retro police murder mystery set in the south of Spain in the late 1970s just after the end of the Franco fascist torture regime. Highly recommended. I also saw 'Legend'...More

Shows a good variety of Documentaries. Small cozy cinemas, you can get snacks and a glass of wine to have whilst watching movie. Great little set up worth a visit.
