We went on this drive after some wine-tasting in the Kumeu vineyards (we had a designated driver). Dropped by a few places like Muriwai, which was lovely with all the wildlife. We parked by the path towards Fairy Falls - and saw some glass shards...More

Fairy falls is accessable from Scenic Drive, between the Piha beach and the Bethells beach turn off, it is well signposted and has a small car park by the road. The path down to the falls is well maintained and has steps in the steep...More

Absolutely beautiful! Just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of city life, and you will find yourself in amongst native NZ. Breath taking views from viewing platforms, walking trails, serene atmosphere. Definately worth taking the time to explore!

It's pretty hilly so a sling or backpack type of baby carrier would give you a good exercise routine. The heavier, the more training you'll get :-)

It's great anytime of year. Nice and cool in summer and in the wet weather the bush gives off a really special aroma. But have waterproof jackets and good walking shoes, because you will get everytning wet
