Took a break from walking around the city when we found this park. A nice open space with some of the history of this city in the form of statues and canon. Very pleasant break from the city.

Its a small but beautiful park right in the middle of auckland. Walk in the sun or enjoy the breeze sitting in the shade of a huge tree.

This park was just across the road from where we stayed and about a ten minute walk from the centre of town. The park contains many old trees and stunning flower beds. we took a picnic there and sat quietly enjoying the ambience.

The trees are lovely as well as the gardens. Really nice to find a spot and relax for a while. Not far from Auckland centre but a little up hill.

It’s a climb, not difficult or easy but it’s worth the walk if only to find a place to chill out. This is an English park with additional trees from Australia, Argentina and Europe thrown in. I loved the fountain and the covered seating area....More

The best part about this park are the grand old trees. One had a cavernous hollow at the base of its trunk huge enough enough to fit 3-4 people. Many of the trees had trunks that sloped to the ground and if you were agile...More

Albert Park is on a hill in the city centre. You can see some of the surrounding buildings including the Sky Tower between the trees. June is winter here, and as the other posts indicate, it is cold but not freezing... More
