We went here for a few hours one day in April. We weren’t that impressed. It was probably one of the worst zoos we’ve been to. A lot of the enclosures had no animals and there were times when we were walking for around at...More

Many exhibits were closed. Signage was abominable. The kiwis were difficult to spot in the special "night-time" exhibit.

This is a very nice small zoo with excellent animal displays and very good customer service. The cafe food is below standard, but it wasn't why we went there.

Spent a few hours here. Although some redevelopment is being undertaken, the animals and talks show how great the staff are her in their care and knowledge of their animals

Well done Auckland Zoo on making the enclosures so open for the animals! We have visited many zoos and very few have animals in them who look like they have enough space. Auckland Zoo was very different. One of the most dramatic ones was the...More

The Auckland Zoo was probably one of the least "zoo" feeling places I've been to. The animals didn't seem miserable, they had a lot of room and nice enclosures. It's not a shock to see a handler walking an animal around the park! there is...More
