I had always been interested in trying a Segway and I also wanted to see more of Perth while on a family visit from Denmark. Winona was the tour leader and instructor and provided excellent safety instruction and guidance throughout, monitoring my growing skills and showing what a Segway can do. She provided a commentary on the tour via the radio headset and this was a great way to see Perth. I started with the Riverside tour and decided to also do the Perth East Foreshore and City tour the same afternoon. A very enjoyable, informative and fun day!

wonderful segway tour from
Elizabeth Quay to Kings Park. My guide was Adam and he gave me an excellent tour pointing out lots of sights and giving me plenty of relevant information about the buildings / plants / sculptures etc. Really fabulous.

I did a Segway tour in Washington DC some months ago. I loved it so much, and decided I would do one in any city I visited that had one. This did not disappoint, this time in Perth with my husband. Leanne was great. Very safety conscious, we had a training session right near their shop until she felt we were comfortable. Then off we went. She wore a microphone and each person wears a small earpiece so you can easily hear her. Our ride took us along the river and then into downtown. She shared many bits of history behind the landmarks that you would not know without a guided tour. She was very good about giving us a heads up if there was going to be anything challenging in our path (dips, low hanging branches, hills). It was a very fun tour that I would highly recommend to anyone!

As part of a birthday weekend in the City we decided to do a 90 minute Segway tour of the city and East Perth. The weather was great and after a lesson and skills assessment we were off. Justin our guide for the tour was such fun and knowledgeable, how he remembers all that info is unbelievable and makes it so interesting. We were born in Perth and had no idea about the majority of the info passed on.
This is a must do, so simple to operate and such fun. Thanks Justin for making our tour truly memorable.

My husband and I did the 90 mins tour of Rottnest - our tour guide Justin was fantastic; patient with his instruction; very jolly and humorous as well as informative about the different historical aspects of the island and of the tour. The segways themselves were great; after the initial nervousness, we both felt very at ease - they are very easy to ride. Definitely recommend the longer tour as the first 15 mins is spent training on how to ride the segways. The tour also takes you off road so you have the opportunity to see parts of the island not normally accessible by bike. An absolute must next time you visit Rotto 👍🏼

My 12 yo son was very keen to do Segway and it was ‘awesome’. Justin led us on a 90min tour up through kings park and the amount of little buildings and art I had never noticed before was amazing! I’ve worked in the city for 20 years and had never seen the things he pointed out :)
The segways are really fun and everyone in the group got the hang of them pretty quickly. Justin was funny and informative and I highly recommend this to anyone!

My son and I took a tour as a last minute booking. Amy was our tour guide and she was fantastic. As Segway novices, she had us up and running in no time. Once the tour commenced, her knowledge on the local area was incredible. She was also extremely passionate about the local wildlife and this shone through as she pointed out different birds along the way.

Definitely would recommend and visit again.

What better way to access Kings Park than by Segway! Leanne and Jas checked our riding skills before Leanne managed our group of ten with practised ease; navigating Elizabeth Quay then city streets up into the Park. We drank in the vista at an amazing viewpoint overlooking the city before turning downhill once again. We covered over ten miles on a really hot day - fabulous!!
Highly recommended.
This was one option offered, wish we had time for another.
Thanks to the Segway WA team.

Excellent commentary by Amy. She made it very enjoyable. Only a couple of things that didn’t work well was the amount of time used up by getting people competent to riding the Segway. At $258.00 for a couple you really need to be seeing everything that is on offer instead of riding around in circles. The route to Kings Park was good but a different path back to the base would have been far more interesting. Two stops was really unnecessary and again it took away time spent enjoying the ride.

We did the Segway tour mid-December 2019. Myself and the kids (14 and 13). Leanne was our instructor/guide and she was brilliant. We started off with familiarisation, balance and obstacles on the Segway to ensure we were proficient prior to heading off on our tour. We had a total group of 5 and this tuition took about 20 minutes. After we reached a level Leanne was satisfied with, we headed off on our tour up to Kings Park. Leanne was very safety conscious and we all had receivers that allowed us to hear Leanne's detailed commentary of the areas we were traversing. The Segway tour was a novel way to see the area and very enjoyable. The kids and I are glad we did it. Thank you Leanne for a memorable experience, you are a great guide.
