We visited on a very hot and sunny day. After 1.5 hours walking around, we did not see any kangaroos, despite searching hard and speaking to other people who we met there, who were also unlucky. Maybe it was too hot for them and they...More

Easily to get to via the Red Cat bus from the WACA stop and a short (ish) walk. There seems to be some conservation work going on when I visited but is still a fantastic area just outside of the hustle of the city. You...More

We were there in December 2015 and it was very cool to see the kangaroos in the wild and close by! We enjoyed it.

Close to the city & surrounded by the Swan River but apparently because I is an aboriginal site little has been done to enhance this largely engineered (for the causeway) island. Some fenced in grey kangaroos & nice walk trails

I took my Polish friend to see some kangaroos, but unfortunately they are all gone. So, if you are tracking down roo's try somewhere else

This is an island nature reserve in the heart of the city. Very little visited. Peaceful with good views.

This must be unique. Have your lunch with the Roo's. They are wild, although completely at ease with humans. You can come in at any time but is a favourite spot for office workers to take their lunch. A quite surreal experience, in the midst...More

Just go behind the fences and watch out for the Kangaroos. You can go very close and even touch them, even I preferred just to watch and make some photos. Nice place to see the australian wilderness just a few steps away from the City.

Park in a small isolated car park or walk from the city then walk further around the island in the hope of finding a sleeping Kangaroo under a tree while constantly surveying dead grass, sand and swatting away thousands of flies. Then return to the...More
