The Ellington offers a very wide range of shows almost every night of the week and you would be unlucky if you couldn’t find something to suit you on a very regular basis. Good bar food on offer and a good range of drinks. Book...More

If you want a place to sit down and listen to live local little jazz bands. This is the place for you. Very chilled and small with a little bar this venue provides a sexy little ambiance for the true jazz appreciator. A little gem.

Excellent music most nights of the week from jazz to Motown..something to suit most music lovers. A very small venue. Wise to book as seating is tight. Food and drinks available though not cheap.

Love going to Ellington’s. Such a cosy little jazz bar and I always feel I can be anywhere in the world. Reminds me of a speakeasy from the 60’s. You may find yourself sharing a table with strangers but the atmosphere is friendly and enjoyable....More

Excellent show.rather tight limited bar seating was cautious to get to the bar without losing the seat but most of the night everyone was up getting into the music. An elevated stage may help the view of those in the back.

The place was packed and the music fantastic! About 15-16 musicians with 3 singers led by Wayne Stanley who has the perfect jazz voice. No amplification apart from the keyboard and electric bass so you just got the pure old school jazz sound - fabulous!...More

A great night spot only 700m from city centre. Excellent live music. Cocktails are great but a little pricey.

Invariably have artists worth listening to play here, and the audience are generally the more serious music lovers. Great place to sit and immerse yourself in sound and appreciate the talent on offer. Food is mixed - Pizzas are good, but I was not impressed...More
