My favourite thing to do in Perth was to spend time in the beautiful Kings Park and the Federation Walkway was one of the highlights.
It winds its way through some beatiful plants, trees and flowers offering g lovely views of the river and city below.
It's crowning glory has to be the raised walkway over the canopy, I literally kept coming back to it every day.
Completely free, its open till 5.30 if memory serves me rightly.

This scenic walk amongst the trees is a MUST DO attraction in Perth. 'Kings Park and Botanic Gardens' has a lot to offer but do not miss this walkway! The bridge and path are beautifully constructed, with loads of artistic flourishes that make them together a sensitively designed and executed gem in the magnificent park - textured, laser-cut metal, textured slub glass, use of design motifs of native flora and fauna throughout, just to name a few elements.
It is an easy walk so suitable for all ages and levels of fitness - I recommend a walk under the bridge also, to appreciate it's shape and structure, as well as to get closer to the natural setting in which this structure is set.
The views to the Swan River are an added bonus when walking on the glass bridge section of the walkway.

This is an impressive pedestrian bridge with a wave inspired design adding a level of funkiness to the structure. The bridge is in harmony with its environment and is enjoyed by most people, particularly children. The views over South Perth and the old Swan Brewery are very good. Check it out!

Certainly one of the most enjoyable among the many attraction of Kings Park. Overall it runs for 620m, starting on a ground-level path then onto the elevated section and then the arched bridge with glass walls. Spectacular views of the canopy, the forest floor under and the city skyline. Great interpretative signage and indigenous artwork add to the amenity.

This is a fabulous structure that allows a great vantage point as it crosses a step valley overlooking the Bush scenery below and views of the Swan River.

This was a great addition to Kings Park and allows visitors and tourists more options for walking and a scenic photo opportunity. Made of steel glass and some wood features it is very aesthetic. This is always as winner for families with small children.

One of the features of Kings Park that we really enjoyed during our recent visit was the Lotterywest Federation Walkway, an arched bridge suspended amongst tall Eucalypts trees and blending into the canopy above.

The bridge is located in the Botanical Garden section of Kings Park and is around 620 metres in length. In addition to nice views of the area trees in sections of the bridge, there are fine views of the Swan and Canning Rivers in the distance.

Well worth making the effort to find and walk the Lotterywest Federation Walkway if planning a bit of time in Kings Park during visits to Perth.

This is a brilliant walkway where you get to see the tops of the trees in some parts, and get great views of the park and the scenery beyond the park. It also protects the earth and plants with people not trampling on it. Every time we cross it, we see something new we haven't seen before, the only problem is that we forget to bring our camera with us! Beautiful park, and great addition to the park

I’ve walked on this walkway many times whilst walking around Kings Park, so many times that I’ve taken it for granted.

Until a few days ago when a friend was visiting from interstate and we visited Kings Park and took a walk around the botanic gardens, the walkway, and the Women’s Pioneer memorial.

This walkway provides alternative views over the Swan River, although you do need to walk nearly to the end of the botanic gardens to access it, as it’s not close to the carpark or entrance (and then you have to walk up the incline back up to the main area and carpark).

My friend enjoyed it, and I enjoyed the views from the elevated bridge and walkway. Fortunately there weren’t too many people on the walkway on the day we visited, so it wasn’t crowded at all. And normally isn’t on the days I visit. Worth a visit, but be prepared for a bit of a walk over the walkway and back up again.

We had an hour to kill in King's Park ahead of dinner, and enjoyed the time exploring the area near the main memorial, including a walk that took in this walkway. The views are very impressive, and the structure itself is very interesting. It's not flat, so some elderly folk may struggle with the inclines. But it's a fascinating place to visit, and well worth-while exploring.

Had a free day in Perth and decided to wander the Botanical Gardens. Had no idea this walkway existed until I stumbled across it. It was really impressive and a great little excursion. It's not open 24x7 but during the day it's open and easy to walk. It's definitely wheelchair and pram friendly (though it's not completely flat). Great views from up here as well.
