Went there at 6:40am and it was already packed with sweaty fitness fanatics going up and down the steps like nobody's business. The view from the top is definitely worth the sweat, though.

First climbing the stairs and then you can continue in Kings Park and Botanic Garden. A bit up and down, but the views are stunning. If you do this run as a tourist you should certainly also stop to make pictures. No traffic, only footpaths.

Although designed to get you from river level up to Kings Park it is most used as part of fitness programmes. This time we looked at the recent renovation but in the past have used it to prepare for trekking

This is on most people’s bucket list but not mine....however, meeting at the cafe at the bottom meant a descent and that went well. You will find people passing at a jog or taking the steps two or three at a time; some make this...More

This is a popular place for local fitness fans as you get a pretty good workout going up and down these steps. It's quite steep but gives you a lovely view. We went up as tourists, not for fitness and was much happier on the...More

The workout is well worth the view. They should construct an outdoor gym there and you would have a perfect workout place.

Good exercise with great views. There's no shade so wouldn't recommend to do during the warm hours. Went with kids who went fine, then went for a lovely walk through Kings Park afterwards

If you have the stamina this is a great way to access view from Kings Park for tourists. This was first time for us and we did it after a good lunch which took some effort but made us feel self righteous!

Jacob's Ladder is one of those Perth icons that always draws a small crowd. The ladder runs from the Swan River level to King's Park. More properly, Jacob's Ladder is a set of steps. As long as you take it steadily, it's not a difficult...More
