The max weight is 90 kg. If you travel alone and you weigh more than 90 kg, you either pay double (they want 2 persons on one camel) or you may forget it!

Ride a camel along the beach best to go at sunset or sunrise as it can get a bit glary during the day when the sun is up

A trip on Cable Beach on a camel is a must as your perspective of the beach is very different from on foot.

The camels are Broome icons and nearly all the publicity photos of Broome feature the camels. Rides are not cheap however - around $85 for a sunset ride. The pre sunset ride is about $65 - tip is to do the morning ride. That costs...More

The red camel team were amazing and be prepared to feed the camels with plenty of carrots. You do have to jump on whilst the camel is sitting and hold on when the camel gets to its feet.

This experience is really well run.The camels are very tame and appear very healthy. Beware: Camels have a personality and an intelligence of a 9 year old. We took the pre sunset tour as it was cloudy anyway. Book ahead.

My 2 teenage daughters did to camel ride on cable beach in the morning. You can also do in afternoon and at sunset. They loved it.

Don't even bother if you are over 90 kilos. You will have to pay double. I get the camels well being bit but DOUBLE.? We decided not to do this and still had a great time in Broome.
