Just did the City Tour with Steve. Great ride around the City. Worth going to see the sites from a bike.

We tend to go on a cycle tour when visiting a city, normally a great way to be shown the sites by a good guide and cyclist . This tour again did not disappoint . Steve our guide for our morning tour was very professional from the safety briefing through to his patience with riders who not very proficient on... More

My friend and I too did this as a free perk of staying at the Nunnery. We had average expectations, but really enjoyed the tour. At about 2.5 hours it was the perfect amount of time to see the big sights in Melbourne and get some exercise. Steve is very friendly and entertaining as well! Would definitely recommend, especially to... More

Did this tour whilst in the Nunnery Hostel, really enjoyed it. Did a good 10 miles and the pace was good, got to see the whole city! Not too long and not too short with a good amount of stops and good information of the city.

Steve was an amazing tour guide, the bike tour was a fantastic first step in exploring Melbourne! Super friendly, cracks a few jokes, and makes you feel right at home. Any questions were always answered, and he was extremely knowledgeable about Melbourne as well. Cheers from the states!

Steve was a great tour guide! I had literally just arrived in Melbourne less than an hour before the tour started, and I'm so glad I jumped on it, because it was the perfect introduction to Melbourne and a great way to learn the layout of the city. Stopping for drinks about halfway through was a great idea as well... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
