My favourite lunch location two decades ago. Enjoyed the pond with JFK's statue, viewed towards the twin brown buildings on Collins where my office was.

In spring and summer the gardens are full of brides and grooms having photos taken before they head off to their reception. You walk through the gardens to get to the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The place is full of memories of going to football games...More

Pleasant place to walk and rest on a bench. There is a JF Kennedy memorial which has a pretty pond and plants around it.

Lovely park at the eastern end of the CBD; surrounded by the history of Melbourne's earlier buildings like Parliament House and a peaceful oasis to escape the hustle and bustle of the city

A park or garden in the heart of melbourne central business district. Good for a short walkabout. Nice green lung for the city

This small park is next to the Treasury building and is well maintained. It is next to Fitzroy Gardens and if it is a nice day it is worth walking through both.

Have a stroll thru these great gardens, have lunch under the shady trees. Take the grandkids to see and feed the duck and just saunter thru. There is a very nice cafe where you can have coffee and a light meal

A small nice park to take a stroll at. It is well maintained - when I went yesterday there was some work being done. It's next to the Old Treasury building and the Fitzroy garden.

Any Melbourne Garden in August or Winter is a great visit with the many trees shedding their leaves and the weak sunlight filtering through the branches. Treasury gardens is not exception. There are plenty of walking paths crisscrossing the gardens and it's a great place...More

Fantastic to be able to run through these gardens right on the edge of the city- amazing spot with beautiful building surrounding.

It is likely that it is a Flame Tree - however it would be easier to identify with a picture.
