Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

Not impressed that we were told that we will not be given an extra clean plate for my fussy 7 year old to be able to share abit of my parma with me as we were not ordering a kids meal for her.Having spent enough $ already on meals I think its totally bizarre to be knocked back a little plate.Wont be returning.

If you’re a parmy fan, you should visit Mrs Parma. Great spot close to theatres, Chinatown and easy to find. Pub set up with extra restaurant seating for meals. Large menu of Victorian beers and parmy options (plus other food). We had the bbq and Smokey parmas. Both delicious. They are quite large and fit on a large plate. It comes with a share plate of chips and salad. Parmy fans won’t be disappointed.

Excellent pub style food with focus on Parmas and served with a variety of toppings. They have a great selection of toppings and specials but you can tailor any item in or out with no hassle. Bowls of salad and chips come with the meal.
Service was friendly and prompt and price was very reasonable for a big city.
I highly recommend this restaurant for those that like hearty and big filling meals.

My son is a bit of a parma guru, so had been wanting to go to Mrs. Parmas for a while and his birthday seemed the perfect occasion. I'd heard it was very popular, so booked (interestingly, they only take phone bookings) It was a Saturday night, but the place didn't seem all that full....anyway, service was good & prompt....the food we chose was great and they have a very different range of drinks....some weird & wonderful beers if that's what floats you boat....all in all a very enjoyable night out.

We have been here many times and love the Parma’s. It did feel this time we were rushed through - 6.30 booking and they only give you 1.5 hours, so they asked us to get up from our table at 8. (In their defence they did warn of this but didn’t think it would be so to-the-minute!) There were no bar seats so we had to stand. It was Friday night, so busy I guess, but still not a great experience.
Food is always tasty but gets a bit smaller each time (while prices increase a bit). One small bowl of chips for 4 people all with Parma’s? I thought the chicken was more like a schnitzel than a Parma.
Craft beer selection is good, tried a couple of different ones. Overall a good night but could have been better given the reputation and history of this place.

I went to this restaurant with a group of friends during the week for lunch. Most of the staff were pleasant and accomodating.
The food was a bit of a let down. I ordered the calamari and expecting it to be served fresh, it was rings most prob frozen.
My friends meals were also medioca. I Wouldn't return if they gave me a free meal. Pity because it's in such a good location

We went to Mrs Parmas for dinner with friends, and the schnitzels were absolutely sensational, but service was way too efficient.
No sooner had a person finish their dinner, and the plate was gone.
No sooner had someone finished their drink and their glass was gone.
We were planning to order another bottle of wine, but although the Resturant was less than half full, it felt like the staff wanted us to leave, so we were gone.
Would we go back, I’m not sure, let’s see how we feel next time we come back to Melbourne....... and if we are in a hurry........

Very nice spot for a meal prior to our show at Princess Theatre. Pub like atmosphere, lively but not rowdy, Parmies scrumptious and GF menu👍. Chocolate mouse perfect- not too sweet.

We called for dinner last night while out on the town. Fortunately it wasn’t busy. I don’t like busy. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was good.

Fantastic staff, fantastic food, fantastic beer. Went there on a busy Saturday night and the staff went out of their way to find us a table. went back a week later with my son on a Sunday arvo after the footy and was just as impressed. Keep up the good service and food.
