With its domed roof and cruciform layout all in sandy coloured stone this royalty approved exhibition hall is well worth a look , the gardens are lovely and being next door to the super modern museum it provides a great contrast.
This nice looking building was designed in 1879 and is next to the Melbourne Museum. It was not open when we visited so only saw it from the outside. Is in Carlton Gardens which is a very nice place to walk.
