Freddy's tour was the perfect way to do it, great for those who are not confident cyclist but also very enjoyable for people who love cycling. We got ti see all the main sites being... More

We've been on similar city bike tours on several continents. Have to say that Matt did yeoman's service in getting us around the quality sites of Melb. Very personal and his command of the local history was exceptional. Would fully endorse this half day if you really want to get a solid feel for Melb on any level. Well worth... More

We went on this tour today, and we're very impressed by the tour leader, Matt, and Dave the apprentice! The tour is well pitched, with a mix of history and sporting stories, and Matt was a humorous and knowledgeable guide. He was also most attentive to our safety on the bikes. Highly recommend this day out. We lunched in a... More

Freddy's tour was a great way to see the city and helped me get my bearings. As a guide Freddy was super friendly and approachable and had lots of knowledge about the city. The tour took in lots of historical, cultural and sporting landmarks and appealed to all ages. Our lunch stop was at a typically quirky Melbourne eatery, Grub,... More

Melbourne is a good city for cycling. It's relatively flat and the central city area and surroundings has lots of things to see. Most major roads have bke lanes, which makes travelling easier. A word of warning --not all car drivers have got with the plan and I've almost been doored a couple of times, so watch out!

This was such a fun way of seeing all the sights of Melbourne. Loved the cafe we went to in Brunswick called Grub! Reece was a very informative and fun tour guide. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Melbourne whether it be your first or hundredth time.

We enjoyed a relaxing 4 hour ride through the sights and sounds of Melbourne's CBD and fringe on the weekend. Freddy's were well organised and easy to find. Our tour guide, Reece, was very knowledgable and we especially appreciated the Indigenous history aspect of the tour. We were taken to all the historically significant spots in the city and were... Freddys lead us at a gentle pace through the major sights whole passing on his extensive knowledge. It was humourous and fun and we survived a late downpour. The lecker bikes were comfortable and well maintained so it was comfortable throughout.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
