The tour with Freddy was great! I booked the night before the tour online and they were very accommodating. I got some good exercise while seeing a lot of Melbourne in one day. Although the highlight for me is the place we had lunch. I ordered the kangaroo tartare and my only regret is that it's so good that I... More

Freddy's bike tour was awesome. As many of the other reviews state, Freddy himself is an extremely nice and hilariously knowledgeable tour guide. Paired with his natural love for cycling (he's been all over the world), his knowledge of the city will make you feel comfortable navigating it well after the tour is over. One of my favorite parts of... More

Freddy's Tour was one of the highlights of our weekend in Melbourne. Such a perfect afternoon: relaxing bike ride around the important landmarks and places in the city along routes you'd never know were there and city roads that alone you'd probably be nervous of cycling. Freddy was an excellent guide: knowledgeable about Melbourne and Australian history and humorous, friendly... More

We rode with the real Freddy and it was awesome. the circuit is easy, the bike was super comfortable and very informative. We visited the most important sights and had an amazing brunch at Grub, an alternative style cafe in Fritozoy area. I definitely recommend you won't regret.

Spent a fantastic day learning more about the history of Melbourne. Booking the tour was hassle-free, and Freddy's ensured that a confirmation email was sent a couple of days before the tour. The bikes were ideal for largely flat roads and cycle paths. Matt was an excellent and informative tour guide, and was helpful in answering any questions. He also... More

I joined some OS friends on this tour and loved every minute of it. I highly recommend it to all Melbournians as well as visitors. A perfect way to see the best of the city as well as learn some stuff along the way. Freddy was an awesome guide and seems to genuinely enjoy what he does. It felt like... More

G'day BBett We love being able to show even locals a great time on the bikes. We really love that you liked our new Lekker bikes. We really believe they are the best bikes you will use on a tour anywhere in town. James More

Matt was a great guide. The bikes were super comfy and easy to ride. The sights and sounds of inner Melbourne were so cool. Great way to fill in a day and get some exercise. We learnt heaps about Melbourne's early beginnings and enjoyed lunch at Grub.

Taking a day off while family visited the Australian Open, the guys at Freddys were ridiculously helpful in sorting out a bike hire. Promptly responding to enquires online and assuring me that Melbourne's a bike friendly city (it really is!) - their reasonable prices and gorgeous bikes make the whole experience a lot more fun, and a lot less tourist-y.... Visiting from the UK, a bike tour is a great way to 'get to know' a city, learn a bit about its history and enjoy meeting other travellers. Freddy's tour (led by Matt) did not disappoint and surpassed the tour we took in Sydney only a week before. It felt professionally organised, and Matt took very good care of us... More

After reading so many great reviews about Freddy's Bike Tours I was excited to participate in the All-In-One City tour on my short visit. The service and the knowledge shared on tour by our guide Reece far exceeded my high expectation of what the day would be! Within a few hours you know and understand so much about the city... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
