Good fun

An excellent way to learn about Melbourne and its history. Matt our guide was very informative and easy to listen to. The bikes were comfortable and we we enjoyed the lunch stop.

Easy riding with knowledgeable tour guide and wasn't rushed so plenty of time to see the sights and walk around the milestone stops, highly reccomend doing this if you haven't seen Melbourne before

Great bike tour, good bikes, friendly guide, reasonable price, nice route around a vareity of areas of Melbourne downtown. Great to get your bearings of Melbourne, and then go back and visit areas in detail later. Great lunch stop. Loved doing the graffiti on the wall in the lane, nice touch to the tour.

We like to start our time in new cities with bike tours because you can cover so much ground and see far better than on a bus or in a car. We booked online the day before. Matt was our guide, and he worked hard on a 90 degree day to make sure everyone was doing OK and to entertain... More

Took the tour with Matt today and had a great time. The tour hit some interesting spots in Melbourne, including a great place for lunch(and drinks) in the hipster Fitzroy neighborhood, and a nice ride through the CBD to end a great day! Matt was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen while he told some interesting stories to keep the... More

This tour was recommended by fiends who are also locals. We took it as a group of 6 with 2 friends from Canada. Matt was our guide and he was great - knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Tour was just over 4.5 hours (because we dawdled a little over lunch!). There was lots of historical detail on original Aboriginal history and... More

Had a really great time touring Melbourne with Freddy's. Their bikes were comfortable and good quality. Dave our guide was very friendly and knowledge about Melbourne's history and sites. Stopped for an excellent lunch and a few drinks in a very quirky Fitzroy cafe. I highly recommend their 4 hour tour for a unique way to experience Melbourne, whether you... More

What sets a tour apart is the guide and Reece a doctorate student of psychology was incredibly open, personable, friendly and knowledgeable. I took the tour with my girlfriend who grew up in Melbourne and even she learned so... More

Lovely relaxing tour with Matt our guide. We were the only 2 people on this particular trip which made it easy to chat and hear what was being relayed about the various sights. The route was relatively easy to navigate without too much effort - even on the main roads which we occasionally had to traverse. We would highly recommend... More

We booked to bikes to go on our own. The price was fair and the bikes are in perfect condition. The man who served us was really nice and helped us with every question. 25$ for the whole is cheap and they have many sized helmets there too. We arrived back too late but the man was understanding and friendly,... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
