Good service, kind waitress, and a nice atmosphere. The bar offers happy hour from 4-6 and special for dinners after 6 during the week days. For a while it was noisy in. But soon after a group of five left it got much slower and...More
Nicely located in Spring Street just opposite the parliament is one of those must visit bars located at the heritage listed Windsor Hotel. The bar serves food which is very Melbourne and inexpensive.
The staff are great and the service was very good.
I love this place. This beautiful old hotel offers a great and inexpensive meal in the Cricketers Bar. There is a lunch special for $18 which comes with a glass of wine or softdrink and the staff are always lovely.
The Cricketers Bar is a great meeting place for a bar and meal. Each day there is a special meal for lunch and dinner which is very reasonably priced as are the drinks at the bar. While staying at The Windsor Hotel we had two...More
We stayed at the Windsor Hotel and had the special lunch in the Cricketers Bar. $18 for a chicken fillet on a bed of pumpkin mash. They only have the one dish for the week on special and it was quite tasty. A limited selection...More
I no longer live in Melbourne but I always love having a beer at the Cricketers. In fact I am writing this review whilst sitting at the bar having a beer on a Sunday afternoon. Probably my favourite bar in Melbourne .
This has a great long bar which has pride of place around the middle of the room.
The surrounding walls have all sorts of cricketing memorabilia, along with modern touches such as big screen TVs. The mirrors directly underneath the memorabilia, provide a spacious and...More
We tried it because we had a coupon. Great place especially when it’s warm out. Have a good lunch menu. Food smelled good. Great place for some beers or wines especially for happy hour 4-6 pm. Give it a try!

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air
of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

Depends what time you are visiting. I got in with shorts and thongs but it was only early. I would try but have a back up plan (longs & shoes) incase they don't allow you entry. It is a really nice pub that is actually still... More
Depends what time you are visiting. I got in with shorts and thongs but it was only early. I would try but have a back up plan (longs & shoes) incase they don't allow you entry. It is a really nice pub that is actually still set out like a pub which is very rare in a capital city in Australia these days.
