Fitzroy Gardens has Cook's Cottage, Kere Kere cafeteria and the Observatory (which is free to go through), are all in close proximity. We were there on a beautiful day, and enjoyed the short walk between all of the attractions.

Very pleasant park on the edge of the city. A few interesting things like Captains Cook's cottage but for the most part it is a very well maintained green space that is very good to walk through and sit in.

If you are passing, it is a good idea to take a break and jump in. But it is nothing compared to the Botanic Garden, which is a must.
