Turtle Odyssey 3D on IMAX was my first stop and paid extra to sit on top row reclining seats - $5 extra and well worth it. First Peoples exhibit Aboriginal was a great introduction to the history of these people, PharLap was a marvel and...More

Great museum. Price of admission is $15/person. There have various sections wrapped up together including an animal section, plants, aboriginals, science, and a few other venues. The most interesting is the aborigine history, which is mainly why I came. The other venues are solid so...More

Went to see Mandela My Life exhibition which was excellent. However lower rating because of cost $30 per head and the really poor coffee shop. Melbourne Museum is fantastic and really worth a visit but unfortunately it is very pricey.

There are artistic and interactive exhibits, where you can see and hear individual people explaining their history, experiences and perspectives. The museum has an excellent shop...More

Set in a beautiful park. Large and comprehensive displays with plenty of information. My only complaint is, that there was an entry fee, as many museums are free of an entry fee.

Fab area dedicated to bugs, including some beautifully displayed bugs and live displays. Enjoyed the excellent geology exhibit too. The outdoor nature area is very special and unique.

We saved up our trip to the Melbourne Museum for a rainy day and it was perfect. We found three highlights that drew our attention, interest and admiration. First was the reconstruction of a living rainforest with well-labeled plants and interesting birds. Second was the...More

This is our favourite place to go on a rainy day to get out in Melbourne with a 3 year-old, and can easily spend a whole day here just in the kids area with indoor-outdoor cafe that sells snacks. So much to do, always crowded...More
