Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

A great place to find those special items to be kept. Not only products that look pretty but they have a mission and purpose behind, totally worth it. The best of all, you get a smile and good vibes while shopping!

I visited this place some time ago. It’s even better now (we went to the night market last night - the food lines were long but the atmosphere was the best), more variety, more stock, just amazing. They even have an original cash register from the 1940’s. The amount of wall hangings, crosses hearts, art are just stunning. The shop owner really knows her Mexican art and the stories behind it. The prices are really reasonable too. I brought some skulls. They even had some buy 1 get 1 free. It’s so nice to see something not found everywhere, in fact I don’t know where else I could buy this kind of Mexican handmade art. Thanks, you are officially my favourite shop. :)

Stumbled across this great little shop on string bean alley. Shop owners were friendly and never made me feel I needed to buy something. As an avid skull and wrestling fan, this shop was an amazing find! Highly recommend dropping in and saying hello!

We visited this shop yesterday. I could have spent my whole pay cheque. The lady and her daughter who served us was very informative and passionate about the artists work that they stock. They had everything from Mexican skulls, Tiki's, Disney inspired art, Wrestling masks, Haunted photos, t shirts and colourful Mexican blankets.

Well worth a visit if you have half an hour to spare.
