Southbank is almost tucked away and for someone unfamiliar with Melbourne it would easy to overlook. It is actually a lively spot with many cafes and restaurants, and large outlet stores for some of the large footwear and clothing companies. In addition to the above...More

Love walking here which we do to get to the Southbank DFO. Lovely scenery and vibe with bustling high end restaurants on the left and lovely water in the right. Great place to visit and stroll.

Visited on Saturday 3rd March and again on Sunday 4th March. We were staying nearby and found this a very interesting area which is close to the city centre. So many things to do and see here, you are spoilt for choice.

As a promenade you get all there is to offer, the river, the riverside architecture, the iconic Polly Woodside and the people is this most cosmopolitan of cities. Magic when the weather is right, not so when it isn't.

Take a stroll around the promenade, and reflect on Polly Woodside's journey over time, great eateries and shopping in this area and lawn area to escape the city hustle and bustle

Really liked it here. So many bars and restaurants to choose from. Great atmosphere. Plenty of places to sit and relax in the sun. Lots of good photo ops and a very good outlet shopping mall right near by. There’s some great looking bridges crossing...More

South Wharf Promenade is a really nice area to go for a walk along the water and just relax. You could also visit any of the numerous cafes, restaurants and bars that abound in the area. Recommended.
