It's not the usual bunch of tourist trap shops masquerading as an "art colony." This place truly had distinctive shops selling fine, hand-made products. Worth a visit

This area was nice to stroll around in with lots of different shops with interesting items. Lots of Tasmanian food items on sale including honey, jams and spreads.

You might as well drop in if you're in Salamanca Place - there's quite a few interesting shops to poke around here.

A very good collection of artworks by the local artists, shop keepers are well knowledge in the artists that they represent. Artworks are unique and inspirational.

Yes, you can take photos for person use throughout Salamanca Arts Centre. However there may be some exhibitions where this is not allowed. If in doubt, please ask the gallery sitters for that particular exhibition.
