Our main reason was to experience the historical Art Deco movie theatre in North Hobart and we were not disappointed. Great staff and many viewing options in different theatrettes each day. Highly recommended.

We loved our time in North Hobart. We found lots of interesting buildings & shops, there is a cinema & plenty of places to eat & drink. It has a real village feel to it & we would consider staying here next time we visit...More

We love this restaurant strip. There are heaps of great food options. The State Cinema is also located here - buy a glass of wine to take into an intimate movie theatre to watch a great film or eat in the cafe (somewhat limited options,...More

This is such a lovey area of Hobart albeit a bit touristy. You'll find all sorts of little treasures and great places to eat and drink.

Elizabeth Street has lots of excellent restaurants and venues, without the awful traffic congestion and parking problems of Hobart CBD. If you don't have a car, lots of buses connect the CBD with North Hobart.
