After driving through the Weldborough pass, we decided to stop and go on the Myrtle Forest Walk through the rainforest. It is such a magnificent rainforest and you feel very refreshed after the walk.

20-25min from Hobart. Off the beaten track and a bit tricky to find. Head to Collinsvale, look for signs “Myrtle Forest Picnic Ground” and Springvale road. You will come to a car park, 15 min walk to picnic ground then 15 min walk to falls....More

I have done this walk a few times, a little uphill in some spots but an easy walk and the falls are great after I prefer the wall autumn/spring.

Myrtle forest is one of those off the beaten track delights that more locals than tourists take advantage of. Great for kids and older people too, the walk isn't particularly arduous.

This walk is misrepresented. Those with even mild infirmities should not proceed past the bridge. The track past the bridge is narrow, rocky, uneven, steep and slippery, and the return time of 15 minutes stated on the track-side sign is oh, so wrong. It's way...More

This is a nice little walk out the back of colinsvale about 20 to 30 min from hobart cbd. The walk takes in some easily accessed temperate rainforest and takes you up to a nice little waterfall. The walk is pretty easy and can be...More
