Leaves from the jetty in heart of Hobart. Takes just 20 mins. Not busy so went cattle class. Dont really see the benefit of paying more for the inside front lounge. Perhaps in school holidays it would be good in order to get a seat,...More

The best way to get to MONA - the way that the curators intend you should travel. Make an excursion out of it!

Had thought to go Posh Pit in one direction and sheep seat the other but able to be organised or booked. Posh Pit with the quieter lounge, drinks and nibbles very pleasant. Staff excellent, happy smiling people who obviousl enjoy there job. Had thought the...More

The ferry is only 20-25 minutes each way, but being greeted on the ferry with sparking wine made it seem well worth it. They even have an espresso machine, so I started my day at MONA with a cappuccino and some amuse-bouches.

The ferry is a great add-on to the experience of MONA. I decided to try the Posh Pit for something different. Service was spectacular, the canapes delightful and just another why this experience is one of a kind.

Had been recommended to pay the extra for the Posh Pit and we really enjoyed the experience - leather chairs, unlimited drinks and canapes. It's only a short distance but it still made the visit to Mona more special. Great staff who ensured we were looked...More

All the exhibits are really different, some confronting but in all fantastic. Do not be talked out of going as you will find most exhibits are fascinating. One that stands out is the water fall. A must go if you are in Hobart.

Yes, absolutely! I went to MONA a few years ago and you were warned about the steps if you had mobility limitations. On my recent trip I was really impressed. The way they deal with it now, is you take the new 300 capacity... More

Sorry, I only discovered I had messages so you've probably already visited. It's a river trip so not usually rough. I can also get seasick but the ferry is very, very stable. Give it a go.Good luck and enjoy.
