Thoroughly enjoyed my latest visit to the wonderful Art Gallery of SA to view the “Colours of Impressionism” exhibition. A priceless collection of paintings displayed in a series of gallery rooms, each with its own colour theme. The guided tour host was very knowledgeable and...More

I went to the Art Gallery of South Australia, where there is an exhibition called ‘Colours of Impressionism’. Displayed are ‘Masterpieces from the Musée D’Orsay’. Many of the paintings are mounted in lavish gold frames, most probably too heavy for the painter’s intent, I thought,...More

Art spaces always appeal to me. This one rates way up top. I visited twice during my Adelaide stay of a week. The first was spent viewing their permanent collection of which they can be justifiably proud with several Rodan scultures, significant local and international...More

Fabulous but small exhibition beautifully curated to show the development of colour theory and paint/pigments. The rest of the gallery houses some fine Aboriginal and contemporary work. The cafe is great for a coffee or lunch.

I thought $25 entry price was a little steep however, considering the value of the artwork and close proximity with no restrictions...More

We spent 4 hours in this Gallery. Had the most wonderful experience viewing the works of such wonderful artist in history. We were lucky enough to see the COLOURS OF IMPRESSIONISM MASTERPIECES FROM THE MUSÉE D'ORSAY.

We visited to see the Colours Of Impressionism (which was utterly amazing: Renoir, Monet, Pissarro,Manet, Gaugin...) and then decided to wander through the rest of the gallery. I certainly did not expect to come face to face with a Rodin sculpture, a 3rd century mosaic...More

Being able to see Musee D'Orsay's beautifully curated exhibition "Colours of Impressionism" was the clincher for me, as we worked out where to take a short break. China for the Pandas in the morning, the best of Paris in the afternoon. Adelaide, you do tourism...More
