Walk the beach, walk out at low tide (sea rises and falls 4 m between high and low tide), hire cats/paddle board, kyaks etc or just swim in the sea. The resort pool bars and restaurants are also just here so this is the place...More

I know people rave about Catseye Beach, but I didn't really care for it. When the tide is in, it's beautiful. But the water is very shallow, so when the tide recedes, it leaves a lot of seaweed on the sand that doesn't look very...More

This beach goes through a remarkable transformation during the change in tide. During high tide, we enjoyed swimming and kayaking, nice and clean sand. But then, during low tide, the water recedes almost completely. And this happens two times a day! It was actually really...More

Nice beach and during low tide everyone was walking out quite a distance. We had a little paddle in the shallow water but did see a jellyfish so can understand the warnings. Saw a couple of stingrays also. Not sure if it was a sting...More

There were loads of people entering the water without stinger suits but we put them on our kids just to be safe. Paddle boarding and kayaking were fun and the water sports hut staff were friendly and helpful. Two of us had allergic reactions to...More

Typical tropical style beach, fringed with palms, with a steep drop-off into the water at high tide. There is a large tidal difference and at low tide you could walk out several hundred metres. Water was warm (late March) but safe. There are advisory signs...More

A really fabulous golden white beach with great views of the Whitsunday islands. Palm trees galore. Not good for snorkelling but lovely for families and walks, pleasantly busy.

Sorry just seen this, probably too late but for others We chartered a boat and swam off that not off the shore and just to warn everyone needed stinger suits. Pretty mandatory for when we were there in February.
