Waddy Point was worth the drive to the near the top of the island. It was beautiful and a welcome refreshing dip. Plenty of people fishing so must be a good place for fishing.

A sheltered area of beach. I guess this would depend on tides, but when we visited, a shallow lagoon had formed which meant kids were able to play in waist deep water without the risk of being swept out to sea.

Waddy Point is a beautiful part of Fraser Island with convenient amenities like $2 coin operated showers, toilets and a store / petrol station just a 10 minute drive away. So pretty and isolated which has its perks but unfortunately we were there when torrential...More

Very good starting base to the northern point of Fraser Island. If staying in a group in camper trailers the sites are separated by approximately 30m with no communal area. Showers are good and cost $1, a good shower cost $2. Nice and shady for...More

Another awesome spot on Fraser Island. Beautiful white sands and beautiful Sand dunes to climb and take in the breathtaking views as far as the eye can see. Another spot to try your luck at fishing and four wheel driving.

Waddy Point is quiet and pretty. The drive beyond Indian Head isn't too far and worth it if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. There is a walk/path you can do that goes up over the point to some pretty dramatic...More

I wouldn't say dangerous though a high degree of caution is needed when getting over cuttings. Allow time between each vehicle when leaving beach to enter cutting. Often a bogged vehicle will be stuck just out of view & you... More
