I tried surfing here, and the water temperature was comfortable. The beach was very wide and never felt crowded. We came to this beach with our family, we sunbathed and chatted here, a very relaxing feeling. I will come back here to relax next time!Visited May 2023Written May 31, 2023
- Neil BWellington, New Zealand365 contributionsAn amazing beachThis beach is so long with lots of flagged patrol areas. We had an amazing evening swimming and watching the passing whales put on a show for us. There are shower and taps at each access and some good clean toilets at some. Top tip, if you're hanging out for a while, find an area with toilets and or a good surf club.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 30, 2023

Spent two days here and I must say I enjoy the vibes. Lots of shops and restaurants. The beach is perfect for a run or to chill.

They recommend travelling to the Gold Coast April to June, I would agree it was perfect in May, I would personally recommend going outside of the Australian school holidays. This means the many many theme parks are not so busy and you won’t spend all day in queues. The beach was awesome and they have markets at the beach, Wednesday, Friday and saturday evenings.
There is so very very much to do or do just a little. Once you have been you will want to go back for sure. 100% petfec5 family holiday.

The Sand is Exquisite. No other. Beach in the world like it. Not Mauritius,
Not Waimea beach North Honolulu, or Copacabana Beach Rio.
Try Sunshine Coast over Surfers, because Sunshine Coast and Noosa
especially, a more pleasant experience.

A very clean beach right next to the evening street and the hotels. The sand is super fine and kept clean. You can walk as far as the eye can see.

Hello, thinking of coming in august. Will it be warm enough to enjoy the beach. Is it worth it to come in August ?
thank you

Surfers Paradise, Australia3 contributions
Hi Audreyma - You can definitely visit Surfers Paradise beach all year round and people do swim and surf year-round. It depends on how warm you like the water to be. In August, the water temperatures are at their coldest as we are in winter and will range around 19-22 degrees celsius. It's lovely to walk on the beach as we have many beautiful sunny days.
We hope that helps!

Hi Sonali B
The Gold Coast Oceanway is a 36km stretch of pathways from The Spit to Coolongatta and which will go along the Esplanade at Surfers Paradise. The views are amazing and will be beautiful by bicycle - enjoy!

Any stingrays on that beach?

Haven’t seen any.
The waves are pretty high, they don’t like that environment.
You can find some at Sea World though.
Not to swim with, but look, feed, take pictures.

Hi, I’m planning on travelling by train for a day trip from Brisbane and will be solo, are there any lockers nearby that I can rent to leave my mobile etc if I wanted to go for a swim?

There are lockers near 'go ride a wave' surf school which is next to mcDonald at surfer paradise. I believe you can use them.
