- VictoriaAthensAthens, Greece319 contributionsBreath-taking views of the area around Surfer's Paradise. Was invited to an early morning (birthday) breakfast with friends and family. You really can't beat the view. And the buffet selections were quite tasty and there was a little something for everyone. The place was packed so remember to make a reservation and wear sunscreen, bring a hat and sunglasses, because if you sit on the sunny side, the glare can be quite strong.Appreciate your valuable feedback.Written March 11, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten March 7, 2024
- Alicia HuLeeds, United Kingdom80 contributionsReasonable prices and good atmosphereIts $10 AUD (£5 in english money) entry to be able to go up to the observation deck which i think is more than reasonable given the views you get. There is also a restaurant called skypoint and they offer cakes and coffee as well as food to sit in and dine, again a very reasonable price for the place you're at. I got the chicken schnitzel and it was ok, ive had better but the portion was big and i wasnt paying a bomb. Definitely a good place for an instagram picture. And i would come again when i next visit gold coastThank you for leaving valuable feedback.Written April 1, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited March 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 26, 2024

- Phoebesmum10Traralgon, Australia183 contributionsDisappointingOn paying entry, I had misplaced my seniors card, I am 70 years old, my husband and sister had theirs. I explained I did have a card though. No he would not give me a seniors discount. Went up, the view was fantastic, but not sure I think the view was worth paying $92 for 3 of us. I would never do it again. To top it off, had to use the bathroom, no toilet paper. Was not impressed. Coffee and cake was an over inflated price too.Hi, I am sorry to read about your experience, it is not in line with our expectations. - crutt13Pottstown, Pennsylvania650 contributionsBreathtaking viewsThe observation deck offers stunning panaromic views of the Gold Coast and inland. There is plenty of seats to sit, relax, eat and soak up the views. While we visited in September, we could watch the whales surface and play. We watched dozens of whales over the course of an hour. This offers the best views around by far. I highly recommend visiting.Thank you for leaving such a valuable review, we appreciate it and hope to see you again in the future.Written September 30, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 21, 2024
- Sarox210Townsville, Australia369 contributionsGorgeous at nightWe were staying near the Q1 building on holiday and had previously purchased a Locals Pass to Dreamworld that included Sky Point entry. We went up at night and found the views amazing and heaps of information boards with food, drinks and sit down areas provided. The elevator ride was also great. The only downside was that there were a few families with really loud children running around and throwing food around when we were there and many tables were uncleared or cleaned so it took away from the fancy atmosphere of it all. We will definitely go back and have a look in the daytime as well.Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Maybe you should go there at least once ... There is also a restaurant, but everyone relaxes slowly because of the superb view, and I stopped this time because it might not be quite availableAppreciate you taking the time to leave your review of SkyPoint, and you got a clear day!Written October 13, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited October 2024Traveled with familyWritten October 12, 2024

We even spotted some whales waving their tales in the ocean! Will we be back? Probably not. We went up to Q1 after a short queue and paying the entrance fee. The ceiling of the elevator projects a film of the ascent through the shaft; Right there it makes you want to go down, haha. On the 78th floor, 230 m high, is where you take a 360° tour. There, through its completely glass walls, we can see the beaches of GC, the central buildings and the neighborhoods of low houses in the middle of canals: beautiful landscapes everywhere.
We enter a half hour before sunset to enjoy the change of landscape as the sun sets.
The viewing deck has a cafeteria on a central platform and areas next to the windows where we could have coffee and cakes at reasonable prices and enjoy them with a fascinating view.
There was a group that did the Sky Point Climb, the walk outside the tower (with special clothing and safety devices), following the guide. Since everything is made of glass, we could observe them and it made us dizzy just seeing them up there in the open air. We admire this activity designed only for the brave.
We stayed until nightfall where we contemplated the same landscapes, this time illuminated.
For those who suffer from vertigo, I assume it will not be enjoyable. As is not my case, the experience was amazing to me.

Our son and daughter took my wife and I took the observation deck in this tower. Cost about A$40 but you can redeem part of the cost on a meal at the restaurant at the top. The lift to the top must be one of the fastest I have been in. The views from the dining area are spectacular, however, if the mist/cloud moves in that view is gone. Good variety of dishes to be had, at very reasonable prices. Don't miss this experience if you are near by.

We enjoyed great 360 degree views of the Gold Coast at SkyPoint. There is a restaurant and the place also caters for functions - imagine having your wedding or school formal there - WOW!!!
I also enjoyed looking at all of the old pictures of the landmarks.
I recommend visiting SkyPoint - if you get a Dreamworld pass, they may include SkyPoint.

My wife and I attended the Skypoint NYE Party with 5 other couples. At a cost of $205 per ticket one would expect something a little special. The cocktail on arrival(as advertised) did not occur. The canapés were very few and far between. Our group received nothing because the line to the slider dispensery was 30 meters long. Guests were lined up for more than half an hour to be served. Beer was warm and was boutique beer that most didn't like and had to pay more to get the run of the mill beer if you could get to the bar at all. Little to no chairs at an event that went for 6 hours saw staff scrambling for chairs for guests to sit on. Their excuse was "but its a cocktail party". Music was terrible and the croud cheered when the band went off stage. Our party left and went to another premis at 10pm. near buy to bring in the new year. Our party all agreed that it was extremely poorly organised and decided to complain. After a lot of to and frowing we wete refunded half. Not good enough. We had nill to drink or eat except what we paid for ourselves at an exorbitant rate. I have since learnt that all events at Skypoint tun slong the same lines. If you are after a beer and a great view throughout the day, it's a good look albeit expensive to get to Skypoint. Food is average at best.

Buffet breakfast cost $144 for 2 adults!
& that didn’t even include a barista made coffee! Thats extra!
I pre-purchased deck & dine vouchers online at $90 which included 2 x $20 vouchers toward food. We were visiting from Sydney for the day & decided to start our day with breakfast.. They could’ve offered an alternative & explain the use of the deck & done vouchers & what time of the day to make the most of these vouchers.
However they charged us an extra $27 per person for the buffet breakfast. Definetly not an extravagant selection for $144! So disappointed…

Great views and a nice relaxed atmosphere. I would say the only down side is that they didn't plan with some foresight that everyone would flock here to photograph the sunset. The part of the observation deck where the sunset is visible is quite narrow and becomes unpleasant with everyone trying to get photos/videos or walk by.
Not enough seating for those wanting to sit down and have a drink or meal. We had to wander around to have our drinks. I was not offered a glass for my beer and had to ask, sparkling wine was clearly flat and it was only after asking for some that wasn't flat the bartender said "oh its a bit flat is it" with not one bubble visible in the glass.
Some information around is interesting to read but outdated. With all the information provided on surfing, helicopters, local history, the information about Aboriginal history was summed up with just one sentence without even listing the local tribes name.
Price to get up there is a bit on the high side at $23, locals get a discount and pay $15.
Not really something I would do again.

We walked here from the main beach at Surfers Paradise, really looking forward to a nice, relaxed lunch, overlooking the Gold Coast.
Admission price, for "deck and dine" we thought, was reasonable, considering you get $20 back to spend at the bar.
We were stopped for a photo as we walked in.
The lift takes you up 77 floors to the sky deck and the views are incredible.
Our experience was, however, less than exciting. Tables next to the windows were all reserved, and most remained empty during our entire visit.
The menu was dreadful and not in keeping with the kind of place it is. This place is somewhere special, but the menu was certainly not. Pizza or fried food was all that was on offer, with a couple of salads thrown in. There was simply nothing that I wanted to eat.
The atmosphere was noisy, with small children running around everywhere.
There was no table service. You have to collect your food from a designated counter.
In all, disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it to friends and, if we visit Australia again, this won't be on our list.

The Observation Deck speaks for itself. We have been on previous occasions. Magnificent and spectacular views. This time we decided to do the buffet breakfast which is only slightly dearer that just doing the Observation Deck on its own. What a find. A buffet breakfast on the Gold Coast for under $44. I thought it would be a limited buffet but I was wrong. It was a full buffet with hot and cold foods, cereals, toast, muffins, and desserts. Very impressed. We ate and then walked around to look at the views and came back to our seats and ate some more. Staff were attentive, courteous, and replenishing food all the time. Well done to all.

There's nowhere else on the Gold Coast where you can get these 360 degrees views. However the closed in space with lots of glass and hard floors gets very noisy, especially with children. The food is a real letdown. We had a very below average pizza and the other meals we saw were typical pub or club style and pricey for what you get. Drinks prices are standard.

The buffet was out of several items. The food that was there was extremely basic. We ordered overpriced coffees to have the long black arrive completely burnt and spilt. We returned the coffee to politely ask for a replacement and the second came out almost worse than the first and half full. Do yourself a favour and go to the breakfast at QT instead: same price point and worlds away from this. Will not return.

Hi just wanted to confirm if you purchase Deck and Dine tickets there is no requirement to pre-book date and time, essentially you just turn up on the day and time you desire? Visiting from out of town and with overseas relatives so dont want to be disappointed. Regards Ange

IIs there vehicle parking underneath the Q1 building for Skypoint visitors??
Written September 26, 2015
Hi there, Sky Point state that parking is available at:
A short 6 minute walk from central Surfers Paradise and FREE undercover parking is available for visitors via Hamilton Avenue, disabled parking is available. Public parking is available nearby at Centro Surfers Paradise in Hanlan St or Bruce Bishop car park on Beach Rd. They do not state that there is onsite parking, you can ring and find out but as its short walking distance from Surfers Centro, Why not and when i have visited Sky Point i have just walked there.
