What a gem! This is a "must do" for any visitor to Rocky, whether or not you are a train enthusiast. The staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable, the displays are interesting and well set out. And as for the building ... it's just magnificent.

We walked around & chatting to some very nice volunteers who knew a lot about the Railway & Station. There are wonderfully made models & a great story played through the sound system.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the railway museum and the tram ride. All the staff or volunteers are extremely knowledgeable and lovely to talk to. The audio guides in the trains are wonderful and have great explanation of the trains. Will go again!

The history of Rockhampton and how the steam tram helped.. The people who are showing this old tram are very passionate as to it history and relevance.. Sad to see progress.

The setting in the old ornate Archer Park Railway Station is just right for this very well kept museum, run by volunteers. You can ride on the unique old steam tram, on Sundays only, and it is a great experience. The museum itself has very...More
