For a small sized city this really is an awesome market with an abundance of choices. At $3/kg for perfect roma tomatoes or avocados for 80 cents or $10 for a Vietnamese beef soup we keep coming back!

Nothing special about the presentation, just like any other market you see anywhere but if you spend enough time, you will find some excellent quality fruit and vegetables. Good if you are staying a few days in Cairns and doing your own cooking. A challenge...More

We had this down as a place we wanted to visit. Unfortunately having spent a lot of the day walking around the marina area, we got here about half an hour before the packed up for the day! So it was a short visit, but...More

Had a fantastic German sausage hotdog with sauerkraut, English mustard and Sirarcha sauce, outstanding. Plenty of Asian food stalls too, and fresh produce

This is the place to get your fruit and veggies. While some items may be probably similarly priced in the supermarkets, most of them are cheaper, and there is a huge array. As other TA members have mentioned, there is food to be had and...More

Cairns Rusty market is a great place to buy very fresh locally grown exotic fruits. I believe this market has the largest selection of tropical fruits in the country and the atmosphere is great – it is more relaxed, holiday-happy rather than business like on...More

Loved wandering around this place - so many market stalls with local & unusual produce- many with samples available. Also enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee & Almond croissant & Indian samosas. Yum! Popular with the locals.
