The whole of the UQ area is well worth a visit including the lakes - you can walk around on paths or sheltered boardwalks , they have huge fountains as well

Great little spot for lunch or just to chill out. Diverse bird life with board walks going over the lake to check out the eels and turtles.

To be pragmatic this is just a collection of lakes on the grounds of the University of Queensland. They're a pretty bunch of (presumably) artificial lakes. They're full of bird life and surrounded by tree filled parklands. Many of us just went to University here...More

Lovely to walk around the lakes or sit down and watch the ducks and other water birds. Turtles and eels are cool too.

The place is so peaceful and serene. It's a small lake surrounded by park and lawn. In spring (October), all the jacaranda bloom, paint the park around the lake with their purple blossoms. Good place to sit down and relax or even family & friend...More
